Some rebates are instant (like at an auto dealership)
Some from retail have to have the form mailed in with proof of purchase , several sections of the packing container and your 1st born .
Send it in , then wait 2 to 3 months for the check .
The do send them sometimes .

In most cases you are going to get a check back. Some companies will give you a merchandise credit to use towards your next purchase at their store.

Always make copies of everything you send. Some companies are notorious for declining about 25% of all rebates and make the customer try to find their back-up paperwork. I am running about 80-90% in getting my rebates to come back through.

Good Luck
