Okay first of all, yes i am a true blue michigan fan. i went to that App.State game. Yes, we did get beat by a 1-AA school. In all honesty, that is just what michigan needed. Its a wake up call to get our heads back in the game. A true team would take this loss, and make some good out of it. All you fairweatherd Michigan fans who hop off the banwagon because they lost, should just shut up and move on with your lifes. All you teams bashing michigan, have nothing better to do. You have waited your whole lives to have something to say about michigan- and here you go. We will hear about this loss for quite a while but atleast we are a true team. The game had bad coaching, and the players weren't in the game. I can assure you that we will defeat Oregon, and all you little pussy teams that are coming our way because we are a real teams and real teams dont give up because of a loss. We keep going, we keep fighting, we keep kicking ***. How many teams can say that?
Go blue!!!!!!!!!!!!

First, you can not say you will KEEP kicking a** as you are the ones who got your a** kicked.
Second even if you win all of your games the rest of the year you have no shot at the national title. If there are not two undefeated teams it will come down to the one loss teams. A loss to a 1-AA team puts you at the bottom of that pile.
third, you are not a real team if you have bad coaching and players who can't get up for the first game of the year. That means you are an overhyped bunch of babies who deserve to fall out of the top 25.
Fourth, if you think a pathetic loss in the first game of the year is just what your team needed then you don't understand football that well.
Better luck next year
----edit-------
So was the Oregon game just what your team needed as well? Hey, keep these good losses going and you are going to have a hell of a season.

Believe what you want, hon. However, the facts remain...
Michigan blew an early 14-7 lead and end up trailing 28-17 at halftime. At home...in the Big House. If Michigan was as good as you're making them out to be they don't fall behind by that much.
Michigan ended up coming back, but twice in the final two minutes of the game they have a chance to kick FG's to ice things. Twice they have those kicks blocked...including a chip shot with 6 seconds left. A real team doesn't miss either one of those kicks...much less both of them.
You can look for a moral victory, but the truth remains Michigan lost a game they had no business losing. That's something you can't ignore or spin.

Sorry, but good teams don't need a wake up call. Good teams come to games prepared to win. Good teams respond to a challenge and make adjustments during the game and at halftime to win.
Your "Michigan Men" didn't do this. They didn't come prepared, they didn't respond, they didn't make adjustments. They got outplayed, outhustled, and outcoached by an inferior team that had the heart and committment that Michigan didn't have. Your defense got abused again and again by ASU's spread offense, and Ron English stood on the sideline with his thumb up his *** watching his defense get shredded. All the talent that Michigan accumulates just from being Michigan was worthless against a TRUE team, a collection of players who couldn't get into a I-A school due to size or speed or talent, but who committed themselves to win a game against the "Leaders and Best" (what a joke that is now).
Michigan has looked bad in 5 of their last 6 outings, going back to last season. A lackluster win over Northwestern, surviving against Ball State, getting abused by Troy Smith again at the Horseshoe in a game that was nowhere near as close as the score, trashed thoroughly by USC in the Rose Bowl, and now suffering the ultimate embarrassment by being the first ranked team to ever lose to a I-AA team. Only in the win over a horrid Indiana team did Michigan look decent. Exactly how many wake-up calls do you need again?
As for how many other teams can say that they keep going, they keep fighting, they keep kicking ***, I can name a bunch. USC, LSU, Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, Texas, Oklahoma, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Louisville, and a number of others. And they all play much tougher schedules in much tougher conferences than the Big Televen.
You're not going to hear about this loss for quite a while.
You're going to hear about it FOREVER.

Read This: App. St. 34, Mich 32
With a National Title shot down the drain and a lame duck head coach, Michigan players just won't have the heart to win the tough games from here on out.

Seriously, you were the #5 ranked team in the nation. Now your not ranked. You have no chance of winning the national title and the season is over. This isn't the NFL were you can ignore a bad loss. If Your any kind of Michigan Fan you should be really upset. This was the biggest upset in College Football history.

After a devastating loss as I've always been told by coaches as a former player, tells the true character of the team. Michigan will be really mad and more focused and should bounce back and beat the Ducks handily.

I would wait a few more games to really say that UM truly sucks. There have been teams who won the Super Bowl after going 0-1 after the first week.

Wow. I guess you have a lot of dignity too. I think most people can agree with you. Most of the posts I've read are from people who think Michigan should be below the top 25 so they are forced to fight their way into it. I'm looking forward to seeing them prove themselves on the field, because I know they're better than showed on Saturday. Welcome to normalcy. Breathe it in for a while. Because all these people you are trying to prove your point to have been there too. This is college football.
