Artemis - Goddess moon, forest, childbirth and the hunt. Athena - (Athene) Daughter of Zeus and goddess of wisdom and war and the patron goddess of Athens.
Hades - God of the Underworld.
Hephaestus - God of fire and the forge.
Hera - Queen of the Gods, wife of Zeus, protector of marriage.
Hermes - The messenger of the gods, god of business. Hestia - Goddess of home
Poseidon - God of the sea and earthquakes.
Zeus - King of the Gods, god of the sky, symbolized by the thunderbolt.

The others had either too great a responsibility, were too violent, or just were no fun(dreary). As God of the Sun and light, He ruled the sky, had a cool ride, God of poetry and music (great to wooing the ladies..lol) God of Archery (athletic), Medicine (all women want to land a Dr....lol) and could tell the future... and was said to be the most attractive of the male Gods what more would you want in a guy or God?

Zeus for sure, how could a guy not want to be the King and to have the the power of the sky and lightning and thunder at his own calling that would be some awesome sh** i think. *edit* plus being married to the queen of the gods and protector of marriage is pretty damn good as well. you know then if you love each you are together 4 life.

I'm not too sure about a favorite god, but I was made to choose I would say Poseidon (Just because he's Percy Jackson's dad lol). Although hand down, my favorite of all the gods and goddess is Athena. And that's because she symbolizes wisdom and she's depicted as an owl.

I’m really a part of Ares. Some times there are war in life and I can build an army of my own side but I’m not the type of person who starts the war, I’m the person who really stops the war at the end. If that make sense :)

Zeus....it's all about the thunderbolt.

Really, read the mythology. ^_^ The thunderbolt was used to both blast things, as a weapon, and to *transform* things, changing them from one thing to another.

In short, it's the ultimate point-and-click ability. Not to mention, Zeus was one of the same generation as Poseidon and Hades, meaning he was one of the *big* gods of that pantheon, as is evidenced by the influences, the wife and kids. So even if he was a bit unpopular, folks could hardly afford to ignore his influence as a leader, politically.
