Okay, so I recently became friends with a very "large" guy, and by friends I mean with benifits. We haven't had sex yet, due to certain circumstances of the time (i was on my period, to be blunt) but I'm seriously worried about when "it" does happen. Where I'm not exactly a virgin, I've never been with anyone quite that big in that region. In fact, he's a full inch larger than the biggest I've been with, and that scares me a bit.

Question here is, is there any way to make it hurt less this first time? I mean, obviously lube and lots of foreplay are going to ease it, but are there any special tricks to confortably taking a 9 1/2" ya-know? Intelligant answers are much appreciated.

It'll be slightly uncomfortable at first, but just have him take it slow until you get more comfortable. It won't take long. :o)

It really depends on the woman and how much you can handle inside of you. Some women are smaller in that area and some are looser and larger. Just take it easier. Just ease it in slowly until you feel comfortable. Usually it helps if the guy is this big to have him on the top for the first few times and then find positions that won't hurt you.

Just remember: Average baby is 22 inches, 7.5 pounds and fits in the same space. Don't think about it or you will tense up and if you are tense, 3 inches will be too big.

I've had "big" and "small", not really much difference once the action starts.

I think the best positions for you would be missionary, spooning (him behind you), and you on top (that way you can control the depth and speed).
I wouldn't recommend doggy style becuase that really opens things up, and with such a large guy you really don't need that. Good luck

Read "In the Valley of Horses" by Jean M. Auel. She has lots of ideas. (Of course, you might want to read "The Clan of the Cave Bear" first and continue with the series after reading "In the Valley of Horses.")
