Many believe this to be the real birth day of Christ in the year 3 AD due to star alignment. If anyone still thinks it is 25 December then you are not getting a visit from Santa!
Seriously though, does anyone have any 'intelligent' thoughts on this possibility?

No, no conspiracy theory, and not a loaded question in any way shape or form. A rarity on Yahoo! answers, I genuinely wanted feedback.

there is much debate regarding the actual time of Christ's birth. does it really matter when we celebrate it?
how we celebrate it should be the important issue. have we allow it to become so commercial that we overspend and become depressed as we think everyone else is having the picture book Christmas but us?
i think we would all be better off remembering why Jesus came and the gift he brought to us than how we will afford all the gift we hope to give others.
these three links gave some good info on the debate. you might find them interesting.

Christ was born in the spring. The yule celebration is December 25th. When the Christians usurped Pagans they incorporated their holidays with the Pagan holidays. I don't know what the significance of 9/11 is (except the obvious). It is ten days before the Autumn equinox

I don't know about the eleventh of September, but many years ago (about 32 or 33) I read an extensive article giving what seemed to be evidence from scripture that Jesus WAS born in the month of September.
So who is making the claim that it was the 11th? and what evidence do they give?
Or is this another conspiracy hoax directed toward God?

Well, considering that John, Matthew, and Luke each specify his birth at a different date might give you some indication that Dec. 25th could be just as likely as September 11th.
No one really knows for sure because all the "reliable" documents we have contradict each other. The Biblical scholars are still out on this one.

I thought Christ was born in spring though! Someone told me that there was proof in the bible. There are no ppl alive that were there the day Jesus was born so how is anybody going to know the exact season he was born? If you ask me we should all just be glad christ was born and died on the cross for our sins....

I've never heard this before, it would be very interesting to find out more though. Do you have any source for the information you already have? I would love to check it out.
