Since welfare was cut off at 2 years, I believe, and since anyone down-and-out can use it, I have less problems with food stamps and welfare than I had in the past.
I don't mind government giving folks some temporary assistance; I mind more when the foster ongoing dependency.

While I do feel there are Americans that can use the help, and that the Illegals have put a strain on the system, taking what Americans should get , if they need it. Not all fat people are on food stamps, nor does being fat mean that one does not work for a living. That is like saying that all skinny people are on crack, which is also not true.
What gratification is involved when one needs to turn others into animal form?

Some people really do need them - like you, apparently.
But a lot of people just mooch off the system.
I'm pretty embarrassed to say that I have a few people in my family who do that...and they know I'm dissapointed in them for mooching when they're perfectly capable of earning a living.
I mean seriously, just because my cousin's hubby is diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and her daughter is diagnosed with it, too, that suddenly means that they ALL get checks in the mail for 1000 dollars each every month?
I mean seriously, how can a 10 year old be getting that much, she doesn't even need it or deserve it, because even if she is bipolar, she can't get a job for another 4 years.
So why should she get that much for the government?

I can totally relate. I have worked as a cashier in a grocery store for 34 years. It amazes me at how some people can play the system. They would buy food I couldn't afford and like you said open their wallet packed with bills. It is high time the government made it fair for those who pay the bill. In order to get food stamps you should have to work for the government doing little jobs. Why should honest hard working people have to eat on the cheap while lazy people eat well.

because of the fact fattening nutrition is way lower priced! do no longer you think of this is wierd that individuals won't be in a position to locate the funds for to purchase clean produce yet they could locate the funds for to purchase much lower priced snack meals and rapid nutrition that comes much lower priced as ever? this is a good question to ask of our government because of the fact we've a unsuitable nutrition device. do somewhat prognosis in the previous you flow babbling on approximately nutrition stamp recipients. you have in all probability in no way been there in the previous and in no way would be, hence you have no longer any clue what this is want to be hungry.

You have a college degree and a full time job. You should be grateful you have a paycheck. If your income is not enough get a second job.
Leave the fat ( worthless ! ) baby making machine alone. She is rightfully claiming the food stamps. Her sons and daughters need to be fed. They might serve their country in the military or police in future.

Some people actually do need government assistance. People like that make it hard for people that really don't have anything. The government should do more thorough screening for people receiving welfare. I know in my state you can only receive the aid temporarily. Don't be so quick to stereotype everyone that gets aid.You never know what somebody might be going through.

I could write a book on this. I once had a job with a computer company upgrading a grocery store chain’s sales systems at night. We were required by contract to return the next day an “standby” for 3 hours. Boring. I began to watch what was purchased with food stamps, with our dollars. Frozen pizzas, candy bars, the best cuts of meat, expensive prepackaged meals, you name it. All purchased by fat mothers with fat little kids.
I mentioned it to one of the store managers and he agreed that it made him sick, but that particular store had 80% of its sales from food stamps.
I say open up Gov’t food depots. Give them beans, rice, noodles, and good ole Gov’t cheese. !

Welfare and food stamps are 2 separate programs in US. Also working folks do indeed get food stamps depending on family size....Take in some foster kids and you'll get a couple extra thousands a month too....
What you saw was all the food that family gets to eat for entire month!...
Sad indeed!

While welfare fraud is a problem, it's not the norm--a great many food stamps go to truly needy people. In any case, your attitude doesn't make me sympathize with you at all. Statistics have shown that the poorer someone is in the US, the more overweight they are likely to be. Why? Because the unhealthy stuff--the fast food--is most affordable. "Dollar menus," remember?
For all you know, she does all her shopping for the month at once. Maybe she just sold her car, to try to make ends meet, and that's why she has the cash. Or not. The point is, YOU DON'T KNOW.
