I know Texas want to, they are the only state which can do it at the moment.As for other states I'm not sure,that's why I want you people of America to tell me.

this issue was settled by the 'civil war', slavery was an additional issue not the main issue..states rights v federal rights. Texas has not stated any intend of succeeding from the union nor have any others that i am aware of.

Originally the united:States:America's was a union of States(countries) united as in the European union or united nations is a coalition of States(countries).

Read the Texas Constitution we are a Republic.

In the Pledge of allegiance what is the 16th word?
Is this what we are constantly told or taught in school ?

I know their is an Independence party in Alaska, that wants a referendum on Alaskan statehood.

Also there are people in Puerto Rico that want Independence.

No Texas CANNOT secede from the union. It can break up into 5 individual states, but it cannot secede. That is an incorrect rumor.
