oh there are a good few of them, some small, some big. There is a list somewhere online that lists the detail ones...but I can't remember where. So I'll just start with the ones that bug me the most.
The scene where Scarlett is sipping coffee or whatever in the yard and watching Bonnie ride where Bonnie dies, that did not happen in the book. In the book, Scarlett watched from a window and Rhett did not offer that fresh start.
Scarlett actually shows concern for Frank and asks about him before she's told he's dead in the book.
Rhett never tells Scarlett that he loves her in the book, because he doesn't want her to have that power. She'd use it like a whip over his head. In the movie, he's saying it every other scene.
not to mention the lack of scarlett's first two children. Scarlett had a child with each of her husbands. But only with Rhett in the movie.

Gods.. there are so many.. including the number of kids she has, certain aspects of her character were dumbed down for the movie, some of the other issues going on around her.. The book is SO much better than the movie.. Trust me, if this is an assignment, you want to read it.. there is no way someone could tell you everything you will need to know unless they are reading it as they type.. I remember in school I was the ONLY one that read it, and was also the only one that got a grade higher than D..

The biggest one of all is that Scarlet doesn't have a son Wade in the movie. I thought leaving that out was really weird.
