I made the mistake with my first child of putting her in bed with me so I could sleep. I learned with my second...I put him anywhere except my bed. As an infant, he's slept in his bouncy chair, car seat, swing, floor (clean, low pile carpet), or anywhere else he would fall asleep.
So I would say it's fine for him to sleep in his bouncy chair, but not for too much longer, as he will outgrow it soon. I also put my son in his bouncy chair or car seat, in the crib (before he could move enough to fall out) so he would get used to the transition.

Hehe, you could do what I did, and put the bouncy seat in the crib, so everyone's happy, lol. My daughter was about 2 1/2 months before we could get her to sleep anywhere but the seat, swing or car seat. I think she got used to waking up in the crib, even if she was in her chair, so it wasn't weird when we started putting her to sleep in the chair then move her to a laying down position when she was sleeping deeply, then she'd wake up flat in her crib and it was an easy transition to put her to sleep there. We'd also put her for naps there when she'd fall asleep on us spontaneoulsy. Good luck!

What is going to happen when he gets too big for the chair? Yes, 2 months is too young to just "let him cry." But you need to let him know the crib is the place to sleep. My baby slept in the infant swing during the day, until he was too big for it. As long as you're consistent, he'll learn that the crib is the best place to sleep.

my daughter would sleep in her bounce chair, car seat and swing but never in her crib until she was like 3 months. Try to put him in the crib when she fell deeply into sleep, he will be fine.

Theres gas drops for babies with gas problems. I dont think its right to let the baby "cry it out" and honestly it makes me cringe because you never know. That baby's stomach can be hurting really bad so for the mom to say it was ok to let him sit there and cry baffles me. After feedings make sure you burp him! It might take a while but he has to burp and dont let him suck on a bottle if its empty. I feel really bad for the little baby because he might actually be in pain. Some babies are fussy, true..but you have to be patient. Dont just leave him in the swing to cry, try to walk around with him, rock him, wrap him up and take him out for some fresh air for a couple minutes. Hes probably very fussy because hes tired and uncomfortable.

All three of our kids had reflux as infants. Our doctor recommended we let them sleep in the car seat, strapped in safely. In the bouncy seat there was too much wiggle room for them to be safe unsupervised. I suggest the car seat.
Best of luck!

I dont see why not.
I wouldnt leave him there all the time, but for a temporary solution it seems fine. My babies loved to nap in the swing til they were about 6 weeks old.
