A lot of people will probably mispronounce it, and your kiddo will thank you for it every time it happens. Consider spelling it the way it's pronounced.... Ryer. It's cute, and people can't mispronounce that, now can they?

You really have to be careful when you live in a different country then the origin of the name that you choose.
I did the opposite. I live in a non-English speaking country and I named my children common English names.
We have the problem all the time with people not pronouncing them right. In different languages, the letters are pronounced different so, that leads to a lot of mix-ups.
But, with that being said...I really like Raijer but, I agree with everyone else who says you should just spell it like it is pronounced in English...Ryer.
Good luck!

It might be fine if you lived in Holland, but you don't. If you name your son Raijer, he will have to pronounce and spell it for people for his whole life. I recommend that you chose some other name.

I like it, but like lots of other people have said, if you live in America, no one will ever be able to pronounce the spelling. It's better as Ryer.

If you live in an English speaking country it maybe difficult for people to pronounce, I know believe me, no one in the US can pronounce my name!!! You may want to go with an alternative spelling or a similar name, like Ryan or Reese.

It has a neat sound, but I am afraid it would be mispronounced here in the States. I'd go with Ryer - or something of that sort!

Thanks for sharing the name, it is different but nice. I never heard of it.

Yup, I think the spelling will make it hard to pronounce - Remmick is another unusual name.
