Technological question about computer microphones?

I have a Cyber Acoustics headset that i use for talking on AIM and MSN to my friends, and a lot of the times, the voice comes in really weird, and makes the voice sound like a sound wave is going through it, i.e i cant hear anything but a gurgle. Does anyone know a computer setting that i can change that will fix this, or what to do? i think that the problem is on my end, not my friends, because my voice always works on the other end. HELP!!! Thanks

Hi. Make sure your sound settings only have one device selected.

Well, change the mic, or switch to a better VOIP client as skype or gtalk. MSN sucks big time.
