Start with "While walking up 34th street the Empire State Building is easy to see."
Fix that by putting a comma in to make "While walking up 34th street, the Empire State Building is easy to see."

The comma in the above sets the first part off as a paranthetical statement, not necessary to convey the intended thought of the sentence.

The first one reffers to a bear eating two types of foods,
and the second reffers to a bear that eats his food, shoots a bullet at something, and just walks away.

This sentence is supposed to be read " we watched a bear from our car tearing through a campsite" this is a misplace modifier.

Without the comma it seems that taking vitamins could result in staying healthy OR getting sick.
