So this "old friend" who my boyfriend says means NOTHING to him was his first kiss when he was 16 years old. We're 20 now. He hasn't talked to her in over a year. I asked him if he always will hold a place in his heart for her, and he told me not to get mad. He said that, he probably will just because she was his first kiss and a good friend. He told me that their relationship was nothing, but I don't believe that. I did get upset, and he told me that he didn't mean anything by it, and I took it the wrong way. He said by "place in his heart" all he meant was that he'll always remember her, but there's no emotion/feeling there. Do you think he is lying? What do you think he meant?

He told me that he really didn't like her that much, but I have a hard time believing that. He spent $400 on her for prom, and I've seen pictures of him at prom with her and he's beaming. He told me he NEVER loved her.

Your so young and you have so much jealousy in you already and if you don't watch what your doing you are going to drive your boyfriend away. He ask you to promise not to get mad if he tells you the truth and what do you do you blow up at him. This is the reason guys don't like telling us the truth we can't handle the truth. You two where not together when they went to the prom, I understand it hurts to think he cared for someone else before you but he did so why make him feel guilty for something he did before you two ever went out.I have seen my husbands prom pictures with another girl and it bothers me but he wasn't my boyfriend and i have no right even talking about it with him. You better stop before you lose him, guys will only put up with so much from a girlfriend so my advise to you is tell him your sorry and it really is none of your business who you went to the prom with,if you do that he will look at you and feel something very deep in his heart and that is better then a first kiss. I have been married 28 years so i have been through everything you two are about to go through so if i were you i would at least consider what i have said to you.

so sorry that you feel so jealous, but you both are too young,my advice is not to make any serious decision with this relationship. anyway about place in his heart when he grows up he will forget all about it,we laugh about how we were naive but we do not say a place in our heart,he did or did not love her is not the issue the thing is does he love you is he really committed, does he make you happy .leave the past behind and if he loved her you are making him feel that she is special ,if not you will make him see that you are not secure .so leave it behind, and focus on your relation with him.

Get over it, he was just 16! Of course he will remember his first kiss. Your jealousy will ruin your relationship - be very careful. Enjoy what you have now..
