I just started a new job a week ago today. When I started, I filled out an I-9 with two forms of ID. I was just informed TODAY that one of the forms of ID was not valid (it was a school ID) which they failed to mention at the time. I am supposed to get direct-deposit paid on Friday. Will it still go through without a complete I-9?

The purpose of the I-9 is to obtain your SSN for tax purposes. As long as that is correct, they should be able to pay you. Just make sure you get them another acceptable ID or they may end your employment.
