Words can not express how sick and tired i am of people here in the United States protesting the war and complaining about the war and saying to bring our troops home. WHAT DOES THAT SAY TO OUR TROOPS AND THEIR FAMILIES? I have had two family memebers and a neighbor go to Iraq (and all came back safe think God) and they never once complained about the job they did and they are proud. We only see what the media shows us which is all NEGATIVE and not the POSITIVE. My uncles said they helped familys and children in Iraq get food and shoes and much more. What message are we sending our troops by doing nothing but protesting the war. Its like a child coming home with a test they are proud of and the parent saying it wasent good enough (just an example). All i am saying is think before you speak and start showing some respect for the hard job that our troops are doing over there.

Personally, I think it's one of the bravest things in the world to fight for another's freedom, but I don't want anyone dying needless because their leader has their head buried in the sand. The people of Iraq has been fighting each other for hundreds of years and when we finally leave, they are going to continue to fight. The have to solve their own problems. I'm sick of our young men and women taking their bullets in their civil war.

Positive?? Your example is helping families "get food and shoes and much more" . We had to go to war to help in this way? If troops can not distinguish between concern about the war in Iraq and troop support they have bigger problems than hurt feelings. "by doing nothing but protesting the war" not sure what you would want people to do to stop the war except protest do you have another suggest?

Wow, how nice that the soldiers are helping Iraqi children get food and shoes. Wow! Wish there were soldiers to help the victims of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita get back home and get jobs so they can get food and shoes. At least in New Orleans, our soldiers wouldn't have to worry about roadside bombs.

I would hope most soldiers realize that we are not against them, but against the draft-dodging cowards who sent them there on reasons that change more often than a kaleidoscope. Your president doesn't seem to care if more and more troops DIE over there. He's going to leave this whole mess for someone else to deal with. And he wouldn't care if the soldiers were there in perpetuity. This administration also doesn't care enough to make sure the soldiers have proper protective gear.

Ive got more important things to worry about in my life. If those guys want to go play in the sand so be it.
But dont feed me that crap that somehow those guys in Iraq are fighting for MY FREEDOM because thats just a bunch of BS. There is no way on earth Saddam or anyone from Iraq could have came to America and taken my freedom away. No way on earth.

You are not the only one with family members over there.

I have family members over there and I want them back home & I don't care about a war were we shouldn't be in the first place.

If I'm not speaking for your family members....then I'm speaking for mine.

And they feel the same way.

Yes, I agree, I didn't watch the videos but I just want to say that our government are the officials, and before anyone can do anything, 100's of people have to approve of it, so they know what they're doing.

the taxpayers are paying for the war, if they want to speak out against it then i dont understand your problem with it. your uncles-brothers dont complain cause they have nothing to complain about they chose to join and are getting paid. Billions of dollars is alot of money for food and shoes, who fed and put shoes on their feet before we occupied their country

"complaining about the war and saying to bring the troops home. WHAT DOES THAT SAY TO OUR TROOPS AND THEIR FAMILIES?"...your words...what that says to the troops and their families is that we want the troops removed from meaningless conflict and re-united with their loved ones. what part of that formula are you unwilling to admit?

I think you misunderstand the protesters intentions. I have nothing but love and respect for the American soldiers who risk their lives for mine. It makes me so angry when stupid foreigners (especially in the UK) belittle and criticize our efforts and sacrifice to make the world safe. So I think to myself: Screw them! I don't want American blood shed over those ungrateful jerks. American lives are more important then that. So that is what is going through my mind. I want them home safe with their families. Instead of giving haters yet another reason to flap their sorry tongues. I KNOW how hard our soldiers work. I KNOW how good their hearts are. The fact that they're over there is proof. God bless our soldiers. Americans will ALWAYS support you!!!!!

I agree fully with that. Support the troops and support the war. If they didn't want to go, they wouldn't.
