is it a better idea to get a Bachelor degree then get a masters or get a bachelors then get a job in the field and a few years later get a masters

It depends on what the master's is in. If you are talking about the hard sciences, math, or the humanities, then you are okay to go right on, but if you are thinking of an MBA or gerontology, then you should definitely work at least 3, and probably more, years before going on.

That depends completely upon which field you plan on working.
There are some bachelors degrees that will get you the job you want/need, and that job may pay for you to get the master's if they think you need it.

There are some jobs that you won't be able to obtain unless you have a master's. There are also programs where you can't just get a master's you have to get a Phd. These are call non-terminal master's. It usually means that the field of study requires a PhD to be considered qualified to work (Psychology is a big one. There's no such thing as working in the field of Psychology with a bachelors. You have to have the doctorate to be a true psychologist.)

If you can figure out what you want to do in undergrad then you'll know if you can get a job with a bachelor's degree alone.

Search for certain jobs you would want online and see what kind of degree those jobs require.
