my assignment was to list 3 solids, 3 liquids, 3 gas, and 3 matter that has all 3 solid, liquid, and gas.
so far i got...
SOLID: iron, carbon, and boron
GASES: water vapor, oxygen, helium
LIQUID: mercury, water, bromine
anddd the help i need is ...

All elements can have an solid liquid and gas phase. But, water is a common compound where we know the 3 states. ice, water and steam.
an element that is a gas is oxygen, helium, hydrogen, neon
an element that is a liquid is bromine or mercury,
an element the is a solid is most of them,gold, carbon, tin

A burning candle has solid, liquid and gas all at the same time.
Water at its critical point (look it up) has all 3 at the same time
