I have a normal cycle every 28 days, normally ovulating on or around day 14, give or take a day. My CM is normal egg white consistancy. We've been trying to concieve now since May. My doctor suggested Clomid to produce more eggs ? I want your opinions on Clomid. Will this produce more eggs ? What are the chances of Multiples ? ( which is an ok thing ) How many people have had a good success with Clomid ?? Need your opinions please !!

I want to add that My husband and I have 2 children already, and have been trying since May of 2006 to have our 3rd. I also want to add that I do not intend to use clomid to try and have a multiple birth pregnancy. The doctor is trying to allow more eggs to be present for the sperm, and I was just wondering if it was a good idea or not ? Please not smart *** comments.

Clomid has some side effects. I don't understand why a doctor would suggest it if your ovulating correctly and your producing eggs. I don't know much about the chances of multiple births from it but i suggest you ask your doctor or local pharmasist all of these questions they will be able to answer them more thourghly then most of us.

hi Clomid helps to ovulate and produce egg and sometimes produces more than one egg. i tried clomid and was pregnant and had an early miscarriage, i have been tryin to conceive on clomid from may 2007 and only conceived in end of June 2007. try it this month and see how it goes, you never know. ensure you take your vitamins, exercise, and drink a lot of water.

Well, I know that a lot of women have had success on clomid. Trying to concieve since May? This year? If that is correct that is NOT a long time. Most responsible doctor's will not give clomid until you have been trying for a year and have been evaluated for fertility issues such as endometriosis, ect.
In terms of producing eggs... No such thing! You are actually born with all the eggs you are going to have. Clomid may cause you to ovulare each month and may cause you to release more than one egg, but you don't get any more than you had to begin with.
Chances for multiples are increased with the use of clomid... About 5% more likely. Personally, I think it is a terrible idea to use a drug to increase your chances of a multiple pregnancy. I am currently pregnant with twins (naturally) and can tell you that although having twins will be a blessing it has been a VERY difficult pregnancy and mine has been uncomplicated in comparison to others I know pregnant with twins or more.
My personal opinion on Clomid or any other fertility medication is that it is not worth the risk. Before my husband and I began trying to concieve we agreed that if we could not naturally we would not try artificial means or drugs to increase the chances. I honestly believe that if a couple is not able to get pregnant naturally than they were not meant to be pregnant. This could be for the mother's health, baby's health, spiritual health of the couple or any other reason. Does this mean that I feel that if you can't get pregnant naturally I believe that you should not have children? Absolutely NOT! There are millions of children in this country and around the world in need of loving parents. Pregnancy is not the only way to have a baby... try adoption! I sure an glad my parents adopted me... By the way, my mother adopted me after fertility medication that resulted in severe reproductive problems ending in a full hysdirectomy 5 years later at the age of 35.

hey clomid does help you produce more eggs, but if you're already producing eggs it doesn't make since to take clomid, I am currently on clomid because I have PCOS and I am not ovulating on my own

i think I ovulated the former day or day earlier than. So am formally interior the 2ww! All this incessant BDing has taken a toll on me...i'm extremely exhauted! how are you going to spend the two ww?
