I have read a lot here in YA and on links but there seems to be a wide range of figures about the cost of living in UAE. Anyone have contacts for Al Ain and Abu Dhabi apartment or villa rentals? My salary will total 32,000 Dhs per month. Can i get some good ideas on COL in both places. Fell free to contact me also my email.

I do not know why people keep on saying to live in Abu Dhabi would be cheaper than Dubai. That's just not true. Well, the cabs here are cheaper but that's it.

In Abu Dhabi rents always used to be higher than in Dubai. It's just that Dubai is catching up since a couple years and people feel the increase. If you are willing to pay up Dhs 150.000 + yearly you should not have to many problems to find a nice place. I have two friends who found an appartment right away in this price range. One in the Emirates Tower and one in the Peugeot Building. The couple who moved in the Peugeot Bulding had a nice big villa in Al Ain before for Dhs 60.000 the year.

Your question would be easier to answer if you would let us know how big the place should be (for how many people) and what you would like to spend on rent.

The wide range of figures about living costs in the UAE like you stated in your question is because of all the different nationalities living in the UAE. Your living costs depend on your nationality and what you expect.

For more information please feel free to email me.
Take care.

I live in Dubai, not Abu dhabi, so i cannot really say. However, living in Abu dhabi is so much cheaper then Dubai. The cost of everything is cheaper, esp housing and taxi. My friend is paying around 55,000 Dhs per year for 2 bedrooms apartment in Abu Dhabi. With the salary that you will be recieving, I beleive you can have a lovely life here in UAE!

Go online and search for rental agents in Dubai. Prices are high in Dubai, but your salary seems very nice. If you want to save, you can rent in Sharjah.

it rather is an appealing question, and one that i think of many people have pondered in one way or yet another. i think of that people have shown themselves extremely resilient in the previous. hundreds of years in the past, people survived the main recent ice age, getting us to the place we at the instant are. extra modern-day people have had to deal with conflict and affliction, the latter of which has often been the main devastating. The Spanish flu, working example, attacked just about each little thing of the international in the early 1900's, killing hundreds of hundreds of people. And yet people have survived. i think of, despite the fact that if, that the appropriate tests of humanity's existence could be in front people. How will people react to the "smaller" international that we now stay in? How can we respond to the dearth of fossil fuels, and possibly the customary famine that outcomes? How can we survive what many anticipate would desire to be the main pressing disaster of the close to destiny: climate replace? people, i'm specific better than any creature, have spent massive quantities of time dreaming up possible eventualities for the extinction of the human race. i think of our survival relies upon on our skill to conform, create, and think of our way with the aid of distinct problems. traditionally, after a hundred,000 years of existence, people seem extremely stable at this. In that way, human existence seems to lean extra in the direction of resilience than fragility.
