Did the shop use reasonable care to protect your car while it was in their possession? Where was the car when it was damaged? Do they have a history of problems? If they left the car in an area where they knew, or a reasonable person would suspect, that it was not protected, they could be liable.
A sign in the shop does not release them from negligent conduct!

The first step is to speak with the shop owner and ask that your damages be repaired! Depending on the reply, you may want to consult a lawyer!

most businesses have signs up now that their not liable for any theft or anything like this ,their insurance basically wont cover this sometimes,you can check with them and see if not you may have to turn it on on your insurance,they may cover it,good luck with it.
