www.poci.org (Pontiac Oakland Club International) and there are a few Firebird/Trans Am clubs out there but, I am not a member of them nor do I really know anything about them. I have been a member of POCI and also a chapter member for just over 20 years. Both POCI and chapters have monthly publications (some specialty chapters have bi-monthly news letters).
Pick up an issue of Hemmings Motor News, High Performance Pontiac for some of those club ads.

Here are some links you can use to get some info on the Bird.
Check out the links below. The last one is mainly for the 4th generation models. But, you may find it useful on some of the repairs.
Good luck!

I heartily recommend transamcountry.com, it's a really nice bunch of guys (and gals). They'll help you.
Make plans now to go to the Trans Am nationals! You just missed that, it's always the 4th weekend in August in Dayton, Ohio.
