had my period till 7/25th and had sex, on the 27th, condom broke. 2 hours later i took the plan b pill. i spotted a week later, than got my period a week early on the 10th, normally i have a very normal schedule. normal side effect of the pill. i've taken multiple hpts, including 8/10, 8/14/, 8/21 and 8/22. i did have sex in b/w those dates but they were all VERY MUCH protected, i inspected the condoms, and they had spermicide on them. I'm now due for my period September 6th. Since I've taken plan b i've had a lot of discharge, it seems to mostly be white now when it dries, normal looking and doesnt smell. yesterday my boobs hurt and today i really can't tell but they feel swollen to me, i have had them get swollen once or twice before my period, but idk..im just nervous. how accurate should of my hpts been? and could the swelling and discharge all just be related to my period..i'm also beginning to get really emotional today, just started actually, all period? Please be nice.

okay, well stress can play a huge part on your period. Reading what I have read....you aren't pregnant. You haven't even missed your period yet. You really need to relax. This stress isn't necessary. You even took the morning after pill which, yeah, will mess with your normal cycle/discharge. Chill out a bit. Good Luck! Don't take anymore hpt's until you have actually missed a period by 5 days...otherwise, you are just going to drive yourself nuts...you seem halfway there already!

From the dates and information you gave, I think it's safe to say that you're probably not pregnant.
You haven't even missed a period yet if your last period started on August 10th and you're not expecting it until September 6th.
As far as the earlier period, that could have been the result of the Plan B pill throwing your hormones off kilter, since they are full of just that- Alot of hormones. As far as the discharge goes- many women experience discharge throughout different times of their cycle and as long as it is white or whitish colored with no smell, you shouldn't worry. If it had a smell or a different texture, that would mean an infection such as yeast.
As far as the boobs hurting and being swollen, and the heightened emotions, you mentioned that you've gotten those same symptoms before your period in the past, so I would venture to guess that it's just that- your period coming soon.
As another poster said, you're worrying yourself practically sick over this, try to relax. I think you're so worried about the possibility of being pregnant that you're turning every day symptoms of your cycle and normal "works of mother nature" into definite signs of pregnancy. I understand that you're worried but you're going to stress yourself into missing your period entirely, which is only going to cause you tons more stress and grief. (not uncommon for stress to delay periods)
By the dates you gave, a positive result should have shown up on a pregnancy test if you were indeed pregnant. If you still don't trust the results, you could take another or get a blood test to be sure, but in all honesty, I don't think you have much to worry about.

Are swelling or discharge listed as side effects of Plan B? Even if they're not, I think the Plan B could have something to do with it because all of those birth control things mess with your hormones. When you consider that along with the extra stress of worrying about being pregnant and having a period coming up, your hormones are probably all crazy right now. That would explain the boobs hurting and being emotional! I think you should try to calm down and wait for your period to get here, you've only got a couple days to wait!

I'm not an ob/gyn but I am a woman who has had sex and many periods. Plan B, so I've been told is effective. If you've used condoms properly for every sexual encounter you should be safe from pregnancy. You'd be surprised at how many people use condoms wrong. It could be PMS. Home pregnancy test are accurate in my experience. If you're late for your next cycle take another. Most home pregnancy test detect pregnancy after the 1st day of the missed period. there is one brand that claims to detect pregnancy 5 days before you're due for period.
I think you did the responsible thing by quickly getting the Plan B.

I think you are just making yourself worry for nothing. It sounds like you did the correct thing and tha fact you did get your period after taking the plan b pill and that the tests were all negative you should calm down and relax and stop looking for the signs that are probably there every month but you dont realise them.

hpts have been accurate for me all 3 times i've taken them. breast swelling and discharge has accompanied my recent pregnancy so the best thing for you to do is go to a walk in clinic and have them take a blood test and you'll know within a couple of days.

Ok, plan B is a HUGE dose of birth control. It is going to screw you all up and throw you off schedule. Go on line and do some research, I believe all your symptoms will be there. But do yourself a favor and read it for yourself. Planned parenthood has a pretty good website.

Honey, it'll be okay.
It might just be side effects or stress, ok? Don't start panicking (it isn't the 6th yet).
If things like this keep happening, go to your doctor. They will know better than us.

See a doctor for other problems. Home tests things are pretty accurate but they won't tell you if you have an STD or any other female problem.
