To get an A in math, Mandy must have a mean test grade of at least 90. On

the first three tests, her scores were 80, 100, and 86. What is the lowest

score that Mandy can get on the last test and still recive an A?

(80 + 100 + 86 + x)/4 = 90
266 + x = 360
x = 94

She needs 94 in the last test.

Mean is total / number of items.

For 4 test to get 90, the total must be at least 90 X 4 = 360

80 + 100 + 86 = 266

so the lowest score = 360 - 266 = 94

well lets see..... the mean of 80 100 and 86 is
100+80+86=266 then guess and check from there.
so she has to get a 94 to get an 'A'

okay, mean means average and if you need a 90 average on four tests then the total scores for all four tests need to add up to at least 360, her current total scores add up to 266, meaning she needs to make a 94 on her remaining test to make an A
