What would you do?

When I meant "what would you do?" as in what would you do as President of United States?

-- I'd ensure my staff represented diverse viewpoints, regardless of party, and that they were smarter than me and would consider it their obligation to their country to tell me when I was wrong.
-- I'd go to the UN and request they work with members of the Pentagon to formulate a plan to withdraw US troops and install a UN peacekeeping force to try to keep Iraq from being overrun by sectarian violence and their neighbors.
-- I don't believe in attacking sovereign nations then taking 50% interest in their oil rights as ransom to help them rebuild their country. So I'd offer to assist in creating a new Oil Law that would benefit the Iraqi people and really be used to rebuild their ingrastructures.
-- I'd insist that all prisoners/captives be held and treated in accordance with the Geneva Convention; no torture. Then I'd have the FBI head the interrogations because they know how to get info that's admissable in court.
-- I'd assmeble a team of lawyers, judges and law enforcement to examine past Executive Orders, laws, etc. for constitutionality, with an eye towards restoring balance of power to government.
-- I'd ask Congress to repeal the Patriot Act and warrentless wiretapping, then replace with legislation for surveillance that would have oversight into the process.
-- I'd reinstate US membership to the World Court and ask them to handle the prosecution of all detainees.
-- I would re-implement the Energy Policy we had 30 years ago that would have led us to alternative energy sources and away from dependence on OPEC, not an energy policy that doles out 8 billion in 'welfare' payments to big oil companies & rebates to buy gas guzzling Hummers.
-- I would agree to emmissions reductions proposed at the recent G8 Summit and appoint an Energy Commission that would focus on alternative enrgy sources as well as the transition effors to get us off coal and oil.
-- I would use the power of my office to close loopholes that allow "vulture funds" to operate instead of lining my pockets with their ill-gotten spoils.
-- I'd send Jimmy Carter and Donald Trump down to New Orleans and have them come up with a plan to help rebuild the city and get people our of FEMA camps.
-- I'd give tuition assistance or tax breaks to individuals who would make a three year commitment to a Peace Corp-like organization that would focus on rebuilding areas hit by natural disasters. Same for business that give materials, equipment and manpower to the effort.
-- I'd repeal NAFTA and any other treaties or legislation that does not benefit the US in order to get our focus back on US jobs, goods and services.

-- After all this, I'd take a week or two vacation, but not during hurricane season. Even with best intentions, I'd probably screw up a lot of stuff, but I'd sincerely try to make things better.

Do my best to remove the income tax and replace it with a national sales tax. I might make it a little differant than the current proposals so it doesn't hurt the poor as much, but I think it would encourage savings. It also would allow you to really protest the government in an effective manner. You don't like Bush or the war? Don't buy as much, rob them of revenue. You think Hillary is a dictator? Fine, buy that big screen later. What is the IRS gonna make you do, buy more?

The second thing I would do is look into implementing Newt Gringrich's idea to pay math and science students who get A's. This would turn our schools around in a year, mark my words. For a conservative, this was a remarkably liberal idea.

Secure the borders
Locate and ship out illegals with no true "special skills" like our laws state
My wife wants to put an under the skin chip inside illegals who are caught and shipped out which will shock them as the attempt to recross the border like a hidden fence
Spend more money here creating jobs instead of giving away the billions upon billions of dollars to other nations
I said creating jobs, not handouts
Create an atmosphere of USA products first when creating theses jobs.
Stop allowing the trade deficit from getting bigger with these same jobs.
Rework the tax system in such a way as to cause savings rather than spending mindless spending
Prioritize spending on education on our children
Utilize islands for prisons and create those prisons with the thoughts of a child, "it is a bad place to go and I don't want to go there"
Separate the prisoners by offenses. Murderers are with murderers.
Require them to raise their own food to survive or kill each other off
Require public service of some sort for all young people, military, nursing, teaching, law enforcement, support staff for these organizations or other type of work for the public good.
If you are a drain on public funding, you have to contribute something back to society for the money
Utilize government research and development for the betterment of all, i.e. alternative energy, land management, housing alternatives.
I could spend the whole night on this subject and everybody would be able to agree and disagree with me on something
But in the end, I will get a paycheck for life and 2 points for my time

What would I do about what ?

Edit - Since that is a very hard question to answer in one sitting I will take one issue - I would shut down the borders and station National Guard troops along it to stop any person trying to cross . Then in my State of the Union explain to the American people that America was founded on certain principles and one of them is not letting people in , we know nothing about and breaking the law . If they wish to come in , let them pass a 3 year test { which I would make free } and would test there patriotism to Mexico , they would have to pass countless backround checks and also I would test there knowledge and patriotism to America - falier of any of these tests and you go on a list to never come back again .

Then I would take 1 barrel of oil from from Mexico for 50 years after I deported all there citizens and brought back American companies from China . This would be to pay back the money there citizens have wasted , in terms Social Security , Health Care etc . After this - who knows .

I would raise income taxes for people who make over $80,000 a year, ranging from 30% to 70% of their income depending on how much they made over that amount. I would tax all luxury items. I would tax corperations 40% to 70% of their annual profits. I would ban all lobbiests from Washington; I would cut our militaries budget in half. I would socialize healthcare and model the new system after the one that exists in France. I would make gay civil unions legal nation wide. I would allow a fast track citizenship program for illegals in this country while focusing extra spending and efforts in assuring that no more illegals are able to cross in. I would make it a requirements for all schools to require students to learn atleast two languages fluently in order to graduate. I would set up a nobility program that would raise the salaries of teachers, social workers, librarians, scientists, and researchers by $10,000 to $25,000 a year. I would end the war in Iraq, period! I would establish ties back with our allies and work on creating good relations with some of our current adversaries(North Korea and Iran). I would devote billions of dollars to Medical Research and alternative fuel research. And that's all I can think of for the time being.

Abolish the IRS, reform Tax code, FLAT TAX ONLY
ALL PORK and EARMARKS for EVERYONE GONE!
Close the borders.....We can go from there.
Change strategy in Iraq...to include securing Iraq's borders.
Refocus more effort on Afghanistan.
Make renewable energy a priority
Work on drilling domestically

I´d stop the consume of drogues in my people, I´d invest in other countries for avoid illegal inmigration, I´d invest in schools in other countries for change his mind like US freedom and not use wars for finish with my people.
