1991 chevy 305, pick-up, short bed, two wheel drive, automatic.
sound like gurgling in the exhaust.
any ideas are greatly appriciated.

If you mean it smells like sulfur then you probably have a catalytic converter thats is plugged. Replacing just the cat won't fix the problem though, it went bad because of another problem. You most likely have a rich mixture caused by coolant temp sensor or oxygen sensor dumping too much fuel. Is the check engine light on? Have you checked for stored codes?
