Is this a thickening of the slime coat? See the face of the blue fish under the name Brooklynella in this link: http://home2.pacific.net.ph/~sweetyummy42/disease.html If that seems to be what your fish have (or any of the other conditions named) click on the name of the condition in red, and that will take you to a link with treatment information.

In the future, please give that results of any water testing you do - it helps to know what parameters you're testing for, as well as if the results are actually fine. For your tank, the ammonia and nitrite should be =0, nitrate less than 20 (even lower is better), pH 8.2-8.4, temperature 76-82oF, and salinity 1.020-1.026 for fish only, 1.024-1.026 if a reef tank.
