There's a switch on my ceiling fan to make it go either clockwise or counter clockwise. In the summer time your suppose to try and make it pull the heat up. Which way is it supposed to go?

Actually, you want the blades to go counter-clockwise in the summer and clockwise in the winter.

Turn on the fan and see which direction the air is flowing. If it's flowing up, look at the switch. That's the position you want. If it's flowing down, flip the switch the other way. Then, that's the correct switch position.

Anti-clockwise.

You want to push the air down, unless you have a VERY high ceiling the air will still make the room hot. Open a window!

the frount of the blades are below the backs.forcing the air up.
