You gan Go in to your locan SS office and get a printout saying that your number belongs to you. The person will stamp it and it will work at the BMV (or DMV).
I did it when my wallet was stolen... hope this helps

Go to your nearest Social Security Office and ask if they have temporary social security cards.

make sure you have a validated copy of your birth certificate, two pieces of mail that prove you live at your address and another form of photo id to the ss office. they do give a receipt and will mail you a letter to let you know your application is in process. additionally, before you can get a learner's permit you have to have financial responsibility through personal or family established insurance before you can get your permit. good luck

social security office. They will give you a "reciept" which acts like the real thing untill your card arrives in the mail.

why doesnt your parents have your social security card? anyways since you are only 15 your school should have a copy of it go to the school counselor and ask about obtaining one for yourself to keep.

when you apply for a regular card maybe they will give you a letter or something but there is no such thing as a temp card....and homedawg is correct..you can only apply for maybe 4 or 5 over a lifetime...

there is no such thing as a temp SS card..you can get about 4 or 5 real cards over a lifetime...it takes 2 weeks...sorry

there is no temporary SS card. you either have it or not.
if not then you can apply for it.
