I have leopard geckos and I use teh reptile carpet and nothing else is that ok??? I know sand is bad for them and well I like the carpet because it is easy to clean and I dont have to worry about them eating it. I was just wanting to make sure.

Yes, the carpet is just fine. But you should get two pieces, and every week swap them out and clean the soiled one with a diluted bleach solution, and let it bake for a day in the sun. That should kill anything on them. Also, pine shaving are just as good. and disposable.

Reptile carpet works fine for almost every species. Make sure you have several pieces so that you can wash one and have a clean one available. They soil easily which is why I don't like to use them in my snake cages. Spot cleaning the aspen or whatever substrate I'm using is easier and faster. Many of my snakes like to burrow in the substrate as well, which is probably not an issue with your geckos :)

Yup! Reptile carpet is excellent. Good for you for not using sand or other loose substrate! I personally use non-adhesive shelf liner--it comes in rolls from the kitchen department at Walmarts. Cheap, rubbery, and easy to clean. Don't use the kind with glue on the back, because it can give off fumes when heated by the heat mat.
