I remember watching this movie when I was a kid (early 80's) - It was about a group of hippie type young people, and when they ate something (I can't remember what it was) , they grew into giants. They danced to 60's or 70's music, at the end, the effects wears off. Any help would be appreciated.

...it was one of the first few films to star Tommy Kirk, Beau Bridges and little Ronny Howard...who would, of course, go on to bigger and better things...

...you might have recognized the theme song for "Village...", if you went to see the recent film, "Grindhouse"; the instrumental tune is called "The Last Race", by Jack Nitzsche, and Quentin Tarantino used the same tune for the theme song of his contribution to "Grindhouse", called "Death Proof"...
