I'm on my fourth year of Spanish, and I'm really done with the usually required 2-3 years of foreign language units that colleges require. I'm really busy outside of school and want to drop foregin language to get an early dismissal for my senior year. Yet, I feel like this will make me look bad for college admission. What's your opinion on my situation?

I feel your pain, I'm also on my fourth year of Spanish. I think it's better if you just continue Spanish unless you really hate it or failing it because from what I've heard from my counselors, it's good to continue through a course rather than drop it and start a new one. It supposedly shows dedication to a subject in college eyes. It's really up to you dude, but I would stick to it and if I was failing or something, then I'd consider dropping it. Alot of my friends have dropped Spanish after their 2nd or 3rd year but only because they want to pursue interests in other fields by taking Clincal Rotations or Psychology or Athletics.

As a parent of a college student (and also a student myself), I strongly encourage you to continue with your Spanish. Having four years of a language will often give you an immediate college credit. Additionally, it looks great on scholarship apps and future employment. Four years of formal language makes you an expert, which is highly marketable! My daughter now regrets not taking all of the Japanese levels.
