I have a book that I vvrote that is like 200 pages on my computer. I have edited it to all and have had other people look for errors (I'm a first time author) My novel is a very adult scifi thriller that I have been vvorking on for over a year.
I knovv it can be published not only because its good, but because I'm only 15, what other teen has ever vvritten a book?? Not a short story, but a novel.
Anyvvay its really adult because some things vvent on in my life that i needed to vent about, so vvhile I'm a kid, for kids this book vvas not vvritten. (A suicide and four brutal murders, also a explicit, but vvell vvritten sex scene that is totally necessary) So...vvhat do i do next?

go to the library and find a copy (usually in the reference section) of "Writer's Digest" (there may be more similar one's there) it will give you all the information you need to know as well as addresses to send to

First off, don't mail your manuscript or story outline to any agent or publishing house. They won't look at it and it will be trashed immediately.
Do the basic steps:
1) Go through Writer's Market and list all agents and publishers who handle your genre.
2) Send a query letter to each listing following their submission guidelines to the letter.
***go online to their site to get their up-to-date guidelines and the current person's name to address your query.***
3) Prepare to receive reams of rejection letters and don't take them personally. They're not.
4) Don't give up.
I read an article on Steven King that mentioned he was rejected so many times that he resorted to writing magazine articles to get published.

If you self-publish you really aren't considered a published author, just someone who spent a lot of money to see his/her name on the cover of a book.

I'm not familiar with the "self-publish" websites mentioned so frequently on this site. But I know that there are several "self-publishers" that will be very attentive to your every thought and whim. As long as you fork over the money!!!!!
One s-p wrote to me that it would cost me about ten thousand US dollars to get my book published and it was highly unlikely that I would ever re-coop the money.
You can tell that I'm not an advocate of self-publishing unless you have a great ego and loads of money to lose.

Wishing you the best of luck with your writing,

You can take that to a printer.on a disc from your computer. who will print the book for like 3 bucks a piece and then make a website to sell the book.and advertise it.and sell this great book of yours.when you get orders tell the printer to make some up.and send them off to the grateful readers.take some to book stores .see if they will take the books on consignment.and send some off to Big name publishers.and some to movie director's.and studios. to see if a movie can be made from it.I wrote my first novel when i was fifteen also.a war of northern aggression type of book.I still have that manuscript somewhere.
