my laptop does connect when I plug it in, but it won't connect when it's wireless, could this be a router problem? the laptop and router are both 2 years old... the router is a Linksys wireless B 2.4 GHz

my laptop is a toshiba pentium 4
the OS is windows XP
it says that I have a good wireless connection, but when I go to surf or connect anything (MSN) it will not work

Your laptop's wifi is not properly configured. Under Wireless Network connection Properties, Wireless Network tab, unclick the box "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings". Use your laptop's wifi software to configure.

A little more info, perhaps? What laptop do you have? Which OS is it running? What errors are given when you try to connect to the wireless network?

not likely a router problem. Your wireless network configuration is different than the wired nic. You need to check to see if your wireless configuration on the router requires a password, if your MAC address is blocked, if your NIC is enabled, etc.

1 st open wireless network connection and see if it is there .
if it is just enable radio and thats it.
or enter your password
