Dear God:
I know that I'm a sinner. I deserve Hell. But You sent Jesus to die for my sins. I believe that He died and rose again. I ask you now to forgive my sins, once an for all. I now receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Personal Saviour. Please come into my heart and save me, Help me to know I am saved and live for You, the rest of my life. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

I became a born again believer in my 20's, I'm now 46.

Do not get mad at anyone here to does not accept him. Remember, it's Jesus they reject. As I did once.
Pray for them.

I left the church for a while and God brought me back in the most amazing way. He answered a prayer when I was 35. The prayer was prayed when I was a child and it was about being as adult. I get goose bumps thinking about it.
e-mail me if you want to hear about it, anyone can.
Jesus is a real historical figure, he is the Christ and there is no other way to salvation.

At one time I think that I did. My parents had sent me to one of those fundamentalist-psycho teen camps where you were ostracized if you didn't take up in all their charismatic brain washing. Not long after I left there that all went away.

I have, however, always had a deep and personal understanding with God/Spirit/Universal Being that has continued to develop until this day.

When I was young I believed that the only possible outlet for this belief was in the "church". Being musically talented I worked for the church from age 11 until age 26.

Ironically, my horrific emotional/physical/sexual abuse started at age 11 and was done in the hands of church members in the name of "God".

I was caught in this trap for a long time. I even have an advanced theology degree.

Eventually I recovered enough to realize that "church" was never going to understand my personal relationship with Deity and I began to go my own path. I have become a more rational, stable, happy person ever since.

What was always in disarray because of "church" - my personal and professional life, my relationships and even my self image - started to even out at that time.

Life still isn't easy for me - I have lifelong scars both that are visible and not. But Deity is there with me, and I have a relationship with It that I believe you would be jealous of.

So no thanks. Not any more. Your prayer is very sweet and totally irrelevant.

Blessings to you,

Yes, I have when I was very young. But at that age I really did not understand anything. And throughout my growing up I couldn't understand how people could be so evil, I had to fight myself to sin like everyone else seemed to be able to do so easily. And now I am fighting with everything I got to get away from what I forced myself into. Basically, I have made my own life a living hell by my own stupidity. Take care and may God bless you spiritually.

Yes i did when i was 12. I went to a Private school at the time. Jesus has been wonderful to me in my life. But that christian school messed me up bad. I dont think religion should be forced on anyone. I believe in Jesus but I do not wish to force my religion on anyone. Im glad you have found peace and i wish you the best.

Who has not? When I was a young man. I have dealt with with life and all the interpretations of you and everyone else. It all boils down to this.
LOVE GOD. LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR. If you do this everything will be ok.

I like the song "Personal Jesus" by Depeche Mode and then later re hashed by Marilyn-Manson. That song describes people like you very well.

When I was 14 years old, I was going through a very difficult and emotional time in my life. Born again Christian zealots took advantage of my state of mind and began to ritualistically hover their hands over me stating what you wrote over and over again. Then, I lived it for a while and it was horrible.

Shallow meth addicts and judgmental families with forked tongues calling themselves Christian was enough for me to dismiss it altogether.

I now accept the Universe as it really is no matter how comforting it is to hold onto delusion.

I think the dude with the sandals is in interesting manifestation of one's imagination, so I congratulate you on your own personal Jesus.

There was not enough proof that such a person ever existed to take any action seriously. That you wish to accept a will-o'-the-wisp is your prerogative, just try to not insult other peoples intelligence via your lack.
