My husband says it would be between 2-5 thousand before insurance but I haven't found a price range while looking through the internet. This is for the simplest form of sperm washing consisting of self insemination. Prices based in the United States and prefarably in the southern areas if possible?

If you are talking about sperm sorting, it's relatively inexpensive.

"average sperm sorting costs $400 to $600 today."--http://www.cnn.com/2005/HEALTH/conditions/11/16/pdg.gender.selection/index.html

"$ 750.00"--http://www.kcrm-ivf.com/odfees.htm

Also, when using sperm sorting, you may want to consider doing IUI instead of IVI because the success rates are a little bit higher for washed sperm.
