How the illegals will be handled. Any politician that supports amnesty for illegals is off my list.
The war in Iraq is what is it and will wind down as scheduled.
Iran needs to be watched very closely, as that could break loose.
Tax cuts should be made permanent.
No Government involvement in health care, they only screw it up.

The Iraq War is by far the most important issue to me (not that it's the only important one mind you.) It was a disastrous mistake with very serious long-term consequences, and nobody has a plan for putting a stop to it at any point in the foreseeable future. I'd like to hear something proposed other than platitudes in reference to this quagmire.

#1) National security. Nothing else matters if we are not safe. Especially for those of us who are parents.
#2) Taxes: America needs politicians who are willing to give more of peoples hard earned money to the people who actually earned it, not to people who have no desire to get off the system. Yes, some people need assistance, but a disgusting portion of government assistance recipients collect because it's easier than shutting off Jerry Springer, and putting the bon-bon's down. This hurts the ones who actually do need assistance, and sets a horrendous example for their children to whom they are supposed to be role models for. Without more stringent regulations being placed on Welfare, the corruption commonly recylces all over again when these people's children reproduce.
Everything else follows these so far as i'm concerned.

Not just medical care but some real help for the less fortunate. The lower class of America are people to and just because they dont have wealth or power doesnt make them any less deserving. We are all equal Americans and should be treated as such.

1) The war
2) Illegal immigration
3) Taxation without Representation
4) National Healthcare proposals scams
Everyone in this country should have quality healthcare. I just don't agree that I should pay for the quality healthcare of bums on welfare.

Immigration and Iraq...because they seem to be the biggest indication that common sense does still apply, it just doesn't seems so, because we don't know the half of what is going on.
That is, of course, giving the benefit of the doubt to our elected officials.
