Have had clients who were very unhappy with them. One client had his credit checked 29 times in a 40 day period and it all but ruined his credit score....was barely able to get him a loan with a local broker after that.

It would be better to shop rates locally before going on line, especially because some states have rigid lending laws (Texas) and most the on line companies don't understand the laws of each state which prevents many of their loans from ever making it to the closing table.

Lenders all across the country purchase leads from Lending Tree. They are just an advertising company. They take some basic information and do a soft credit pull (one bureau). Then you are passed on to at least 4 or 5 lenders, who will hound you for days. Good Luck!

We tried to use them 2 years ago and it was the nightmare from hell. I would never advise anyone to use them ever. After 30 days of constant lies and delays from them we got a regular mortgage company and closed in 20 days.

I would run to any other company EXCEPT Lending Tree

lending tree is a marketing company and they sell your info to many borkers thus having many contact you and in many cases pulling your credit.

i used them and got tons of calls and it didnt stop after i realized i was dealing with brokers i went to anouther online site that doesnt sell info and they are the best i could find! they beat my best offer

If you want a loan and dont want your information sold you can go to a directlendingplanet.com

Don't use them... they charge you almost $300 for closing with a lender.

I used them to buy my condo-- at closing there was a $300 application/ customer fee for using one of their lenders.

NEVER AGAIN!!
