You know what i mean. REAL rock music. Up until the 70s it was Mainstream. then it was Punk. now where is it?

No, I really don't know what you mean. Up until the 00's, it still is mainstream. Punk eroded in the 80's.

Unfornately emo "music" has taken over. Most of the talented modern rock bands are underground, which may be a good thing, because it seems like nowadays, once a band gets exposure, everybody hops on the bandwagon.

Rock music.
It's everywhere.
There are so many genres now how can I keep up?
And the people bashing emo and putting stereotypical and ohh to common phrases in ignorant sentences.

All us nerds rant about underground artists but our friends like the emo crap so the good music does not sell.
