what id like to do or think may be the easiest would be to get some sort of wholesale list or somethign like that where i can get a ton of items that i can list on my web site or however i choose to do so and when someone (a customer) buys one they send the money to my account then i send or buy the item from the actual distributor. so in short i guess id be the middle man but that kind of what i have come up with so far. or a idea. i mean you see all these people on ebay selling the same items making good money and a ton of sales so where are they all getting these items from? and is ebay the best way to go?

They are very known and provide 100s of wholesale providers for every niche and category.
Very popular resource among resellers and dropshippers as well.

Depends on what you want to sell. Craft items can be found wholesale and made by local people, just ask at your local fabric store for any contacts who want to be a supplier for you.
