put the first fraction into a fraction so multiply 3 and 4. And then add 1. Then divide that by 1/4

When divideing by a fraction it is often easier to multiply by the inverse.
Ex.: 4 1/3 divded by 1/4 is the same as 4 1/3 *4/1
4/1=4 so
4 1/3 *4 = 16 4/3= 17 1/3

13/3 divided by 1/4

= 13/3 x 4/1

= (13x4) / 3

= 17.333333 or 52/3
