Yes and no.
People invented specific measures of time such as seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, etc. But these measures of time are often based on things that occur in nature like the rotation of the earth, the trip the earth makes around the sun, the cycles of the moon, etc.
I suppose it comes down to how you define "invent." Part of time is a function of our bodies, their natural rhythms and metabolisms. Part of it is a mental construct. Is it purely one or the other? Hard to say.

Time is a mental construct humans came-up with to measure what appeared to be a linear progression of change. But if you observe with awareness you will conclude that time is not linear at all, but is cyclic in nature. Time is intricately associated with space, thus both time and space are the result of the physical dimensions of the universe. In dimensions beyond the physical time ceases to exist as travel between here and there becomes instantaneous.

Time has existed longer than we can imagine.
We just invented a few methods of breaking it down into specific periods and made up names for the different periods.

Time is the measure of motion and change. We didn't invent time, but we did assign measurements to it (hours, days, weeks, and so on) and we invented ways to measure it.

No, we did not invent "time." Time is just a concept. All we have is right NOW. The past and future are just allusions.

Time is only a measurement system. Treating time like a 'thing' will only cause centuries more of confounded individuals.
Let's explore the nature of the mile, or the inch, or the litre, or the millimetre. Exploring time is such as foolish.

No, but we invented keeping track of time via sun dials, clocks, hour glasses, and watches.

Time is just a way of saying aging. Things age and we record how long it takes with clocks and calendars.

No, time was always there, humans just labeled it and named it and keep track of it.
