You need to install the correct drivers. Use the CD that came with the printer to install them. If you already installed it, uninstall it first and reinstall the drivers. Just make sure to chose the correct ones.
Also, try printing from other programs. If it prints find from other programs (ie word processor), then there might be something wrong with the way firefox was installed and you might have to repair that installation.

You should be able to clean the heads via the printer tools found in the printer properties Having green only, sounds like your colour cartridge is not letting out anything but the green colour. If all was working fine yesterday and you have not changed anything, best option is to run a cleaning on the heads via the printer utility software. Quite often, it is just a clogged head which will get better after the cleaning process. If you are not using Original Ink Cartridges beware the very cheap ones, they are more trouble than they're worth. Best of luck and remember to have plenty of paper to go through all the cleaning options

See if the printer is working properly:
Start
Settings
Control Panel
System
Hardware
Device Manager
right-click on the printer icon and select Properties
you will see if the printer is working
You say you just got the printer. When you installed it, did it say "installed successfully"?
Did you install the driver before plugging the printer in to the computer?
Did you Restart after installation?

I was wondering if you installed driver for your printer, if yes,go to printer property and click on the "test page" if you can not get the "test page", it means, either printer is not connected or your printer driver has not been installed properly, re-install it again.

Did you load the drivers, install the printer, has it ever worked?
If it has never worked, was there some packing plastic in the printer you forgot to remove?

Have you loaded the driver for your printer?
If so, maybe it was corrupted. Try reloading it.
After you install the driver (and before you attempt to print), restart your computer.
