Will it harm the baby, is it unsafe if a pregnant woman uses a tanning bed ?

i don't think it's safe AT ALL to tan EVER and especially not while you're pregnant!!!! definitely stay out of the sun and tanning beds all of the time whether you are pregnant or not.

The only thing you need to do is make sure that your body temp doesn't get too hot. Make sure that you have fans in the bed. Also most tanning places make you have a note from the Dr. at least that is what my place does. The rays from the bulbs will not hurt the baby. I have been tanning for a few years and am now 4.5 months pregnant with #2. I only go about every other day.

It's not good for an extended period of time. Ten minutes or less is ok, but not often. My doctor's only concern (with the baby of course) was my body temperature. If it gets over 101, it can harm the baby if not attended to by a doctor.

It's not good for your body anyhow, but pretty soon you won't be able to fit in the bed anyway.
