I just cut it off, you can usually fit scissors between the clothing/belt and the device, its only connected by a thin little rod that is easy to cut.

Most of those security devices are designed so that you cannot "do it yourself" when it comes to removing them. (They'll either seriously damage the clothing item or mark them - some of those tags have a reservoir of ink in them that discharges when they're tampered with).

Take it back to the store where you purchased it, along with your receipt which shows proof of this purchase - and they'll remove it for you.

Take your belt back and ask them to take off the device. Make sure you bring your receipt so they know you didn't steal it.

if you bought then, go back to the store and tell them to take it off

if you bought it in some other state, call the store, and make them pay for the shipping

if it's like a JC penny or Walmart in another state
go to one where you are, take your receipt and make them take it off

but since you said garments, and not garment
lead me to believe you stole it!
no way someone would forget more than one! THIEF!

First of all, this question doesn't belong in the computer and internet forum.

But to answer your question anyway, just take it back to the store, with your receipt, and ask the salesperson to remove it for you. There is a special tool that they use for them things.

Go back to the store with your receipt.

You will likely damage the product by taking it off yourself.

Take it back to the store with a receipt to prove you bought it. Call the store first and tell them.

Take it back to the store with your receipt. There are other ways, but none that don't risk damaging the clothes that you bought.
