RLS is a medical condition and has treatments. There are several, some older choices which are inexpensive, but not specifically designed for the condition. And some newer medications which are more expensive.

Many times the GP will order a "sleep Study" or polysomnogram to determine if the diagnosis is truly RLS or an anxiety related condition which would be treated differently.

Either way there are treatments (not cures).

Of course there are of course a few GPs out there who would tell you to get over it. My advice then, would be to get a new GP and get over that. The new GP will either refer you to a neurologist, sleep specialist or treat it themselves.

Restless Leg Syndrome is a bona fide medical condition and there is medication availble that can help alleviate these symptoms. If it is really interfering with your sleep, I encourage you to make an appointment with your doctor.
