We brought it to the mechanic and he installed a bushing kit and did something else to fix it, all to the amount of $300. We went for a run after he claimed to have fixed it, and it sounded fine. Later that evening i go to pull out of my driveway, the loud, embarrasing popping noise is back. Can i go back to the mechanic and make him fix it? What do i do?

no you dont make him fix it. you take it back & tell him its still making the same noise and give him a chance to fix it. but be sure to ask if he's going to charge for it again before you let him work on it.
