I have a young (about 13" long) Iguana. He's picky about what he eats.
What do you feed your Iguana?
Thanks in advance!

The proper iguana diet has been the subject of much debate on various internet sites, and even books about iguana keeping rarely agree on matters of diet. Many diets recommend feeding a mix of vegetable and animal protein, and adding vitamin supplements to make up for any deficiencies in the diet. An alternate diet, in which the iguana can obtain all the nutritional requirements from natural sources has been developed. In short, it provides the iguana with food that very closely simulate what they eat in the wild. For details of the diet, visit The Iguana Den

The best things for them are fruits and veggies, although you don't want a lot of foods that contain oxalix acid such as spinach, rhubarb, chard, sorrel, etc. (this interferes with their ability to absorb and use calcium and can lead to metabolic bone disease). See ths link for some ideas of what you can give yours: http://www.anapsid.org/iguana/igdiet.html

If you use a multivitamin powder or calcium supplement on the food, go easy on this stuff - this will often make a food an iggy usually devours something that might sit in its dish for a while - they don't seem to like the taste of the supplements.

Use Melissa Kaplans Green Iguana Diet--it can't be beat. I use a food processor to chop up the vegies into small bite-sized pieces. DO NOT feed him crickets or other insect or animal protein as this will damage the kidneys.

I had an iguana for 7 years, and he loved eating romaine lettuce, okra, bananas, zucchini, sliced apples, strawberries, and other fruits and veggies. I also supplemented his diet with a vitamin powder for iguanas (can't remember the name of the stuff, but you just sprinkle it on top of the food).
