All i can remember is it must be from somewhere between the 50's -the 80's (more likely 60's or 70's). The house is haunted and I remember a girl being bound and gagged and dragged down the register vent by little demon like characters (miniature sized) I remember that she and others were captive to this house and the little demons and they could not get out. Any ideas? It has been driving my fellow office workers and I crazy as we all remember this movie, that it was a great horror movie, but not the title.

Possibly "The Gate"? Don't recall all the details, but it's about two boys and a girl who battle a bunch of pint-sized demons after a tree is removed from their backyard, opening a portal to hell.
The only other film I could think of is "Subspecies", but it was a vampire series.

it sounds to me like one of the phantasm movies. i remember being at the drive-in suppose to be watching one movie and it was on on another screen. little trolls, tall scarey man, in a house, flying metal evil ball killing people. thats what it sounds like to me. but i've been known to be wrong before.
