Social services took the children and they weren't even harmed. Social services DID NOT take the McCann twins, even though their 3-yr old sister is missing!

Where's the logic in that?

The McCanns have been acting strange since day one so I don't know the logic in anything they do.

there is never a logical explanation its always a context Q....... as in the mc canns they were not far away checked their kids periodically being middle classed naive parents who see no wrong in world ..OK its not a fair excuse ..but if street wise to go out leave door open ..seems ..no excuses sorry but that's how it is and its also wrong there you go how sad is that but in defence of both ...when I was young the door was always unlocked was out playing all day no one worried just turned up at bedtime ......childhood was great ....what has changed from when I could breath ....this Stu is getting way out of hand blame the media its not the norm folks honest .cant see a way back ..when being a kid was fun .....a learning experience for the good pity kids now .. very sad ...but both fams in each situation shouldn't feel guilty their parents did it and so it should be ...

saraleon: the money in the fund is actually theirs BUT there are directors (who I may point out are close friends and family members). the money is in a set up in the form of a 'limited company' - which means saraleon, that the contents in that account will be spent the way 'they want too' and without having to give account for any of it.

To answer your question Shambo: I think different laws i different countries may apply here. Though I think that the laws should be the same in this case for all EU countries.

The rules should be the same for all. These McCanns should be investigated by the police for what they did. They have ceased to be bereaved parents and become a pair of arrogant, publicity seeking self publicists

This woman doesn't have the big team of lawyers that the McCanns hired within hours of Madeleine's disappearance.
If that doesn't prove that they knew they were in the wrong to leave their children alone, I don't know what does - they certainly made sure that they protected themselves before attempting to organise anything for Madeleine.

I read on another Yahoo Answer that "...Social services are only for the poor !"

It seems that the Spanish care about kids more than we do and take action. It beats me how anyone can defend the McCann's as being caring and loving after spending as little time with their kids as possible on the "family" holiday.

It's mad isn't it. How can people keep saying that the McCanns didn't neglect their children, while others are being prosecuted for doing just as they did.
