When the time is right for you or the widowed person, and not one minute before that. Well meaning friends and family may start to get antsy trying to fix you up, thinking it will somehow help to fill the void. They are wrong. When a machine breaks down,we can buy a replacement. When it happens to those we love, there can never be a replacement. Instead, with time, perhaps an entirely new chapter will be written and something new and good will happen. In it's own time, and yours.

get out and get active. join some groups or clubs that serve a cause you are interested in (bowling, habitat for humanity, church singles group, etc). this will get you back out in the social community and give you something in common with any guy you meet there, since he's obviously interested in that same thing. you can even decide to try something new, like indoor rock climbing. more than anything, have fun. men find a fun-spirited, light-hearted woman very attractive.

I would like to know the same thing. The only thing I can suggest is to join a club with activities you enjoy and also has a mixed membership. I have found that helpful.

When you meet someone you like at church, the grocery store, or wherever you choose to meet someone just get to know them, have coffee, go to a movie and take it slowly....do it when your ready.
